Big Trouble as Nnamdi Kanu’s family petitions UN, claims possession of video of army looting Kanu’s home

MYNATION NEWS – This is current report as the saga concerning the army’s invasion of Nnamdi Kanu’s house continues as the family of the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra petitioned the United Nations, the European Union and other foreign countries, alleging that operatives of the Nigerian army looted valuables from their son’s home during a raid on October 8.

Meanwhile the petition was signed by Ifeanyi Ejiofor, Nnamdi Kanu’s lawyer on behalf of the traditional head of Afaraukwu Ibeku, Umuahia, in Abia state, and Kanu’s father, Eze Isreal Okwu-Kanu.

Nnamdi Kanu’s family, in a separate letters sent by Ejiofor to the international bodies and foreign countries, claimed that the “CCTV footage” attached to the said letters “picked” the alleged looting by Nigerian soldiers and policemen, Sahara Reporters reports.

The media outlet also claimed the said CCTV recordings were not made available to them.

The letter read in part: “We are solicitors to the family of His Royal Majesty, Eze Isreal Okwu-Kanu, hereinafter referred to as ‘our client’ and on whose standing instruction we file this communication with the British government.

“It is our brief, that on the 8th day of October, 2017, our client’s son’s home (Nnamdi Kanu) in Afaraukwu Ibeku, Umuahia, in Abia State was invaded, and violently looted by rampaging Nigerian soldiers and their police counterparts.

“The CCTV footage which picked the horrendous raids, revealed the brazen looting and carting away of valuables and household equipment by the above named security agents.”

The separate letters were addressed to the resident representatives of UN and EU, the US Ambassador, the Russian Ambassador to Nigeria, the High Commissioner of the British High Commission; and the High Commissioner, the Canadian High Commission.

A copy of the letter sent to the British High Commission, Kanu’s lawyer claimed that the IPOB leader has not been seen since the invasion of the family home on September 14, 2017.

The letter added that the IPOB leader might have been killed during the military operation.

“The raid and consequent looting in the home of our client’s son, (a British citizen) by the soldiers and their police counterparts does not enjoy the protection, backing, and legitimacy of any known legislative enactment in Nigeria.

“It is, therefore, not unlikely, that he may have been killed in the well-coordinated bloody onslaught in his home. The attached CCTV footage picked clearly the horrendous activity of these rampaging security personnel in the home of our client,” the letter read in part.

The army spokesperson, Brig Gen. Sani Usman, however, could not be reached for comments as his mobile rang out and he is yet to reply to a text sent to him as of the time of filing this report.

Biafra: US dragged to court for not declaring Nnamdi Kanu, IPOB terrorists

One Nze Charles Ugwu, through his lawyer Simon Kanshio, has taken the US Embassy in Nigeria before a Federal High Court in Abuja, for saying it does not view the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and its leader, Nnamdi Kanu, as terrorists.

The embassy’s spokesman, Russel Brooks, had said IPOB is not a terrorist organisation under US laws.

In the suit marked FHC/ABJ/CS/977/17 and dated October 12, 2017, Ugwu asked the court to compel Brooks to withdraw his statement within seven days of delivery of judgment in the case.

He also asked the court to determin

e “a true interpretation of sections 1, 4 and 5 of the Terrorism (Prevention) (Amendment) Act, 2013 and the United Nations Convention on Terrorism.

“Whether the United States of America represented in Nigeria through the 2nd defendant is no longer obligated to be bound by the United Nation Convention on Terrorism which the United States of America signed and ratified?”

Among other reliefs, he sought a declaration that by true interpretation of sections 1, 4 and 5 of the Terrorism (Prevention) (Amendment) Act, 2013 and the United Nations Convention on Terrorism, “that the 1st and 2nd defendants representing the United States of America in Nigeria are under absolute obligation to obey Nigerian laws both statutory and judicial so far as they are within the territory of Nigeria irrespective of their personal opinions.”

Natural disasters can be terrifying. And now, three massive tornadoes have hit Texas this weekend, and the videos are really scary. While you may have been lucky enough to live far away from the damage, citizens of Canton, Texas were not so blessed. At least five people have died due to the intense storms. And countless homes have been destroyed as well.

As with any breaking news, Twitter was compiling videos from Canton.

Most of them are from drivers who were in the path of the vortex.

News sources all over Texas started reporting on the damage that was being caused by a “devastating wedge tornado.” Warnings about the intense storms were issued in the South and Midwest on Saturday. In addition, they included warnings of flash floods.

Right now a lot of the power lines have been knocked down by the massive tornadoes, leaving people scrambling. Obviously, a lot of the houses have been totally wrecked as well, but the full scope of the damage is unclear at this time

According to an interview with ABC News, Desirae Rasmussen’s house was severely knocked around by the tornado.

“We were all sitting in the hallway and the roof collapsed on us. By the time it was all over, we went outside. We had a three level house, and we’re down to the last level and half of that roof is gone,” she said.

In case you ever find yourself in a dangerous situation such as Desirae did, it is important to keep calm and position yourself somewhere safe.

If you have a basement below ground, go there. Regardless of how safe you think you are.

This is one of the northern Russia cities called Norilsk. The river has a tricky name Daldikhan and not so many people in the world knew about it until this happened. Over the night the water in it changed its color to bloody red.

It looks like the Nile from the book of Exodus in the Bible or as one of the last days signs’ from the Revelations. For now no one knows the cause of the horrifying change. People in the city are scared. They do not know if the water they buy or get in the tubes is safe to drink or even touch.

They certainly feel like those ancient Egyptians during the time Moses has performed his miracles. Some suspect the blood color of the river is produced by pollution. There is a large plant where they dig and purge nickel found near the city and it pours down the wastes right into the river. They get a lot of snow there in the winter time and we might see it also turning red as the blood!  A horrifying sight of the river of blood.

It was reported that in winter, the snow’s also red. On the one hand, it’s beautiful, but on the other it’s chemical.”

A spokesperson said: “As of today, the Polar Division of Norilsk Nickel does not confirm a leak of emergency discharge of industrial waste into the Daldykan River which could have affected its state.

“However, environmental monitoring around the river and adjoined production facilities of the company is being held, including helicopter flights.”
