Super Eagles
caoch Gernot Rohr reportedly wants a return to the national team for Vincent
Enyeama due to the poor form of incumbent number one goalkepper Carl Ikeme
Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Super Eagles
goalie Carl Ikeme
Rohr had confirmed during the pre-match conference before
Nigeria’s game against Tanzania that he plans to hold talks with Enyeama
regarding a return back to the team. The Vanguard reports that the talks are
yet to take place, with Rohr deciding not to rush things but the German could
be forced to change his mind due to the poor form of Ikeme
Ikeme recently conceded four goals in a 4 – 0
loss for Wolverhampton Wanderers against Burnley. He could be dropped by
manager Walter Zenga of Wolves for their subsequent games, less than a month
before Nigeria’s first World Cup qualifiers against Zambia. Enyeama is not faring
better as he also conceded four goals last week against Monaco in a 0-4 loss
for Lille in the ligue 1.
